I was born in Belen and raised in Las Nutrias, New Mexico. I served in the New Mexico Air National Guard for eleven years as a Supply Technician and Unit Training Manager. My husband and I have 5 children, whom I homeschooled for seven years. After that I joined the staff at La Promesa via the Transition to Teaching Program and have been teaching here for eight years, both as a 5th and 2nd grade teacher. My Bachelors Degree is in Business Management with an empahsis in Accounting and my Masters Degree is in Education with an emphasis in Reading. Last year I achieved my Level III Teaching License with an Endorsement in Reading.
